Cult of the Mirrored Mind
In the last few decades, the mining colonies of Ymnur Alpha and Ymnur Beta have seen unusually high incidents of twins. In recent years, the rate of twins has become so extraordinary that the planetary governors have taken notice and have scheduled a meeting to decide if a formal investigation is warranted. The Cult of the Mirrored Mind is does not want that meeting to occur and has set plans in motion to ensure it doesn't.
Cult Members
The Cult of the Mirrored Mind is made up of workers from the gravel pits and rock quarries of the twin Ymnur planets. They use both traditional weaponry and various pieces of mining equipment to fight those who would wish them harm.
I was worried that the skin tones of these guys would look inconsistent because I painted them in various batch sizes. However, seeing them all together like this, I think it works. Even seeing my initial experimentation with adding more "human" skin tones mixed in makes me want to paint a few more like that. The story of these guys is that they all have some mixture of alien and human dna and I think having more "human" looking dudes would help sell that a bit more.
Here are some of the "special" weapons guys. I really like how the goggles turned out. My semi-sloppy painting just gives the goggles a sci-fi glow.
Here are the two guys who use their...bonus arms to wield heavy mining lasers all by themselves.
Here is a group of cult members that have decidedly more alien dna than the previously featured folks.
The extra alien dna gives increased strength, allowing even more cultists to turn work time (mining) into hobby time (taking over the planet). The extra arm helps too.
Here are some cultists that really enjoy using mining explosives recreationally.

This mining truck is the first vehicle I’ve painted and it’s a big reason I decided to paint a whole army. I had a blast painting this and I’m excited to paint a couple more.
I really liked how these grass tufts look alongside the bikes.
These bikers had so much character I had to sculpt a little additional attitude for one of them.
Some cultists are subject to biological experimentation. Why? No one knows. They get pretty yolked though.
DJ ROOP broadcasts cult propaganda to inspire cult members and drive non-members to insanity.

The man with no name inspires the cults with his sharpshooting skills.
Referred to as Woody by some. The man with no name wields an heirloom pistol. I’m especially excited about the details I added to this gun.
Jafar carries the banner of the cult. Spurring cult members on to ever greater feats.
Able to blend in with "normal" humans, Coras is the public face of the Cult. This was the first "important" model I painted for this army and I decided to make her stand out by giving her gold armor instead of the silver of the normal troops.
Watch out! They gonna get ya!
